Team Full Tilt WSOP antics

Full Tilt Poker has certainly made a goal of sending as many players as never before to different WSOP side-events and to the Big Dance this year.

Members of team Full Tilt have begun their onslaught starting with event #1, where they were massively represented at the final table. Patrick Antonius and Andy Bloch were both there, and it wasn’t for lack of effort that the bracelet finally found its way to Nenad Medic, who scored his first one this way. The final hand in this PL Holdem event went to Medic when he hit a flush on the turn. Even though Bloch had started the heads-up stage on a 2:1 chip lead, he was forced to concede after about an hour of play. First prize was $794,000.

The first bracelet-win by a Team Full Tilt member wasn’t going to take long either. Event #4, $5,000 Mixed (limit/NL) Holdem: Erick Lindgren survives a field of 332 players, outlasts fellow Full Tilt pros Howard Lederer and Roland De Wolfe, starts the heads-up stage well behind on the chip-count, makes it up pretty fast and traps Justin Bonomo’s two pairs with a straight in the last hand. Team Full Tilt scores first WSOP bracelet, and Lindgren takes home a $374,505 prize.

Event #3 saw another Full Tilt success. Full Tilt pro David Singer survived a field of 713 to rise to glory in the $1,500 PL Holdem event. In the heads-up stage he was faced with Jacobo Fernandez, who had a slight chip-lead on him in the beginning. The Full Tilt pro soon worked off the handicap though, and after the break he managed to hit a straight against Fernandez’s two pairs. This was David’s first WSOP bracelet, and the fact that it came coupled with a $214,131 first prize made it all the more enjoyable.
